Lois Gowen's Story
I played bassoon while in high school and college. I majored in music at San Francisco State,. Met Lloyd Gowen, piccolo and flutist in the SF Symphony during an orchestra rehearsal. We married and had three children. Lloyd retired almost 20 years ago. I went back to piano and never played or taught professionally, but accompanied his students at lessons and played for my enjoyment.

he early years of the AIDs epidemic I worked with Shanti Project as a volunteer for 8 years. It was a scary, exciting time and I lost over 30 clients I worked with. We lived for 45 years in Daly City and the last 10 years in Concord. I have been doing art with colored pencils and we are vegan and I have collected many tasty recipes.
